TICBioMed is a cooperative cluster of companies, universities, Healthcare providers and public institutions that work together to foster innovation in Healthcare (eHealth) and Biology.

Its founding purposes are:
  • Improve the technological innovation capacity of its members.
  • Foster Research, Development and Innovation in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applied to Health.
  • Promote collaboration between research centers, businesses, government and professionals, to provide practical solutions to real-world problems.
  • Foster bio-medicine ICT projects and transfer of technology between research institutions, enterprises and Healthcare providers.
  • Reinforce the importance of quality training for professionals and highly skilled researchers.
  • Provide a coordinated response to the needs of its networked members.

Most of its members are located in the Region of Murcia (South-East Spain), but it is willing to collaborate with entities in other regions.

Public funding is currently available to TICBioMed for activities related to its founding purposes. The Network works independently from government agencies and membership is free. The requirements for incorporation are to be in the heath ITC sector, and be motivated to innovate.
